Intex Launches New Range of Products
By: Jayesh Mansukhani   |   Sep 30, 2006

Intex has unveiled a slew of products in various categories from AV to Computing. It has rolled out 3 models of DVD Players, MP3 and 'MP4' players, a 19 inch TFT-LCD, a USB based Mp3/Fm modulator and a flash drive called the UFD 512 Slim.

The three DVD players released are the R-35, R-45 and the R-75. Each of the DVD players has their own unique points. The R-45 comes fully equipped with USB, RF and Game ports. The R-35 is available in a full metallic body. The R-75 distinguishes itself on its ability to operate both on AC and DC power. With a cost of Rs 3,590 for the R-45, 3,540 for the R-45 and Rs 3790 for the R-75 the players are attractively priced.

The Intex 1901 is a 19 inch TFT-LCD monitor that comes in an attractive black body and costs Rs 13,500. It has a native resolution of 1280x1024 and a response time of 12m secs.

In the 'MP4' space, Intex has introduced the Aura 401 MP4 player. Aimed at the student market it is a small player with a 1.8 inch 25K color TFT LCD display and is powered by rechargeable lithium batteries with a power rating of 700mA. This small player also comes with a FM tuner and a voice recorder. It can function as a USB drive and is priced at Rs 5,200.

Intex has also launched the Aura 201 MP3 player, a flash based device with 512 MB of storage space and FM radio as well. The player also includes a necklace-style earphone as a novelty. The Aura 201 will cost Rs 2,560.

The Intex USB MP3 FM Modulator despite its cryptic name is nothing but an FM transmitter that takes in music from any flash pen drive or MP3 player via USB and transmits it over FM to your car stereo. The difference from regular FM transmitters is that this Intex device takes the music via USB, not a 3.5mm stereo jack. It is priced at Rs 2,560.

The last release is a standard garden variety 512 MB USB memory stick which can be used for carrying data around. It is priced at Rs 1,200.
