CorbyTXT to Launch in a Couple of Days
By: Shayne Rana   |   Nov 13, 2009

Word is that Samsung is launching the CorbyTXT in the next couple of days. The handset features a full QWERTY keypad much like the Samsung Omnia Pro B7320 that was launched a while back. The handset is designed to offer a little more comfort for the frequent texter.

For further convenience to this segment of users, the company has also included pre-loaded functions that include SMS and IM (Instant Messenger) as well as social media uploading functionality. Like the Corby this variation will also come with interchangeable rear panels.

Other features include -
  • a 2.2-inch TFT LCD with a 176 x 144 pixel resolution
  • EDGE/GPRS
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, USB 2.0
  • 2MP camera
  • microSD card support
  • 3.5mm handsfree socket
Although the official price hasn’t been announced just yet, it’s going to be priced in the vicinity of Rs. 10,000. Stay tuned.

A better option would be Samsung Corby Mate/B3313, which also features a full QWERTY keyboard and is more appealing to the youth. This model for 10k should atleast have 3G and 3.2MP with flash as most people here have pointed out. A good option now for 7k would be Sony Naite with 3G and 2MP. Nokia 2730 Classic would be worth waiting for its entry level 3G expected to be priced around 6k. The future is in 3G, wake up Samsung, what next???
Raghav @ Nov 15, 2009
