After months of rumors and speculation, Sony's PlayStation 3 will finally be officially launched in India on the 27th of April, 2007. As of now we'll have to make do with the 60 GB model that'll be available for Rs. 39,990.
An exceptional range of titles from every genre will also be available from the world’s leading third party publishers including Electronic Arts, Namco Bandai and Sony Online Entertainment. Priced at Rs. 2,799 per game, these softwares will be distributed by Milestone Interactive Software Limited. The stellar line-up of over 12 game titles includes the critically acclaimed Resistance: Fall of Man, MotorStorm, Genji, Days of the Blade, Formula 1 : Championship Edition and Ridge Racer7. Other game titles include Def Jam: Icon, Fight Night Round 3, NBA Street HomeCourt, Need for Speed Carbon, The Godfather: The Don’s Edition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 and Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom.

I have a ps3 from the US that my mom brought for me to India... I have heard the ps3 will play pirated games once you go to a special guy who can remove a particular chip from inside the ps3. without removing the chip the ps3 will only play authentic ps3 games which are hella expensive. ive heard there are people in bombay who know how to remove the chip.. can anyone tell me if there are any such experts who can do this in pune? and if not does anyone know where to get this done in bombay? names, numbers, shops, any information would be helpful.. also if u know where to get good cheap ps3 games that would also be a lifesaver...
