Creative Launches 2 Speaker Systems
By: Tech2.com News Staff   |   Jan 14, 2009

Creative Technology has introduced the new GigaWorks T40 Series II and GigaWorks T20 Series II high-end two-piece speaker systems.

Each speaker in the T40 Series II features two woofer drivers with woven glass fibre cones for warmth, and a high-tech tweeter with cloth dome for clarity.

These drivers are arranged in MTM (midrange-tweeter-midrange) configuration supported by Creative's BasXPort technology for responsive bass. The speaker set also features front-mounted controls and two inputs for simultaneous connection to different sources.

The T20 Series II uses premium-quality woofer drivers and tweeters for balanced audio, complemented by Creative's BasXPort technology for strong bass without a subwoofer. Two inputs let users connect them to a PC or Mac and an MP3 player simultaneously, without the need to swap cables.

"We wanted to take all the outstanding characteristics and personality of the original speaker systems and refine them even further," said Leonard Yap, Regional Sales Manager, Creative Labs Asia. "We kept the drivers' acoustic configurations because they deliver audio that's more balanced and involving. Our BasXPort technology combines excellent dynamics with rich extended bass without a subwoofer, and the silk dome tweeters with their woven glass-fibre drivers produce crystal-clear highs. The result in both speaker systems is audio that's even more subtle and detailed, with an enhanced desktop design in glossy black that's elegant and restrained."

The Creative GigaWorks T40 Series II and Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II are priced at Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 8,999 respectively.
