Samsung India has launched its 8000 series of LED HDTV in the Indian market, in 55” screen size and has added 32” screen size to its 6000 Series and 55” screen size to its 7000 Series lineup.

Based on the strong initial acceptance that we have received for our 6000 and 7000 Series in LED TVs, we are now going in for range enhancements for the existing series and introducing our advanced 8000 Series of LED TVs with 200 Hz Motion Plus technology. Based on our considerably strengthened LED HDTV Lineup, I am confident , that we will successfully create a new category in the television market in India as we are doing in other global markets such as the US.”
At just over an inch thick, each of the three Samsung LED HDTV Series feature high dynamic contrast ratios and Samsung’s acclaimed Auto Motion Plus frame interpolation technology. The 8000 Series uses a refresh rate of 200Hz. The 7000 and 6000 Series has a 100Hz refresh rate.
There are some new features like the USB 2.0 movie feature that makes viewing videos and photos from a camcorder, playing music from a media player or accessing multimedia files from a portable drive possible. The DLNA Wireless feature in the 7000 and 8000 Series lets the user watch content from the PC without any wires or cables. The Samsung LED TVs come with a built in Content Library Flash which includes pre loaded content.
Samsung now has three LED Series- 6000, 7000 and 8000 with 32”, 40”, 46” and 55” screen size segments priced between Rs. 69,900 and Rs. 3,00,000.
