Fly Launches GSM/CDMA Dual SIM Handset

Fly mobiles have just launched a new dual SIM handset, the DS440 in India. The new handset is compatible with GSM and CDMA preferences and should make things a whole lot easier for those who are burdened with toting around two handsets all the time.

Prem Kumar, CEO Meridian Mobiles says, “It’s a multimedia powerhouse in a crux. We have always been proud to offer consumers world class brand-name technologies and products at affordable prices. Seeing the excellent response to the various models of single SIM phones launched earlier, we decided to move a step ahead in the contemporary techie chase”


The other features the slim (11.5mm) DS440 dual SIM handset comes equipped with are -
  • EDGE/GPRS connectivity
  • Bluetooth, USB 2.0
  • FM radio
  • 2 megapixel camera (video rcording)
  • microSD card support (up to 4GB)
“It’s the only product with Data download capability in GSM as well as CDMA. It has higher functionality and serves as a future rich mobile phone. We are committed to cater communication needs for masses by offering mobile phones with simple & better technology at attaractive price points and will be announcing more such products in the near future” said Anil Kaushik, Exec.VP, fly mobile.

The Fly DS440 is priced at Rs.7990.

I have seen mobile.looks and feel is good .but screen quality is very cheap like china phones.battery capacity is only 800mah which is very less.Earlier model BL 120 came with 1100mah which didnot last for 1 day.how 800mah will give more back up.Fly did not improve the negatives of earlier model but worsened it.I think one more big flop phone.

I would refrain from getting Fly, I had one fly set and it is far from easy to use.
