Schoolgirl's Orkut Profile Misused

Google-owned social networking site, Orkut, has landed itself in more trouble, after a malicious profile of a Delhi schoolgirl was found to be uploaded on the site. Miscreants have posted obscene photographs and contact details such as her home address and telephone numbers on the profile, using suggestive names like 'sex teacher' for her.
The matter came to light after the girl's family started receiving vulgar calls and her father approached the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing. Delhi police sources say the girl is a student in a South Delhi school. Her father told the police that somebody has misused the social networking website to fake her profile and circulate obscene stuff on her profile. The family received the first call almost a month back where the caller wanted to speak to her, following a slew of similar calls, referring to Orkut.
This incident follows the complaint filed by a 23 year old Delhi based air hostess, whose profile on Orkut was misused by pranksters. Google Inc. has not commented on either of the cases yet.
