Third Party Patches IE Flaw

29 Mar, 2006, 10:52 am IST | Sharon Khare |

Security vendor eEye Digital Security has released what it calls a "temporary" patch for the critical vulnerability in Internet Explorer. Microsoft incredulously plans to wait till April 11 to patch the flaw! Microsoft says that users can avoid the attack by disabling Active Scripting in their browsers, but this is no soluion for users using sites that employ scripting and the April 11 date (almost 2 weeks away) prompted the security vendor to release the patch because it seemed like a long time to leave millions of users in the lurch. eEye's patch is free and available for download here and will automatically remove itself when Microsoft's official patch comes through.

It's quite short and it doesn't have any sort of versus multiplayer but The Darkness II is a polished and brutal shooter you should definitely check out, especially if you like ripping dudes to shreds.
