Creative MuVo T100

In the world of the MP3 player as a stand alone device, the want for a screen or too many features is unnecessary. Creative has already brought us the Zen Stone in the faceless DAP segment and although their MuVo T100 has been around for quite a while, it’s only just hit the shelves. Here’s our opinion on whether or not it’s worth your money.
Form Factor
The T100 is identical to the MuVo T200 sans a display. It has dimensions of 2.5 x 7.63 x 0.86 inches (WxHxD) and weighs in at just 0.71 ounces. The built-in USB 2.0 port reduces space and the dimensions and weight factor make it very easily portable.
It has a standard 3.5mm earphone socket on the top of the device and on the front is a simple five way nav-pad with a play button in the center (doubles up at a power button), volume controls and track navigation on either side.
On one of the sides is a slider like the one the Zen Stone has for skipping folders, shuffling the track list and repeating tracks. On the other side is a bass boost button. The bundled earphones are very comfortable to wear and manage to deliver some pretty good quality sound.
Performance
For starters the Creative MuVo T100 is capable of a rather high decibel level that I don’t recommend playing any music at, unless your aim is to go a little deaf. With regard to the sound quality of the music, I can’t say that the T100 is just average, but it’s still a long way from being the best player in its category.
