LG KF600

Navigation pad works like a charm
Handwriting recognition works great
Camera quality is quite good
Poor battery life
No support for video caller tunes
Audio out is too low

When I first saw the KF600 in the flesh, so to speak, I was impressed with the kind of technology it employed and its sleek looks and feel. But now that I’ve tested it, it’s a whole new ballgame as I put it through its paces. Here, then, is my opinion of LG's KF600.

Form Factor
I love the design of the handset. This sleek slider is smooth, sexy and though it's a bit heavy at 107g, that’s no bad thing. It provides a comfortable feel with a slight macho touch. It has a superb 2 inch display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and 256K colors. The unique feature with this phone is the lower touch-sensitive 1.4 inch display that sports the same resolution and color.

Instead of using normal navigation systems like most handsets, LG has gone with a touch-sensitive (with Haptics) virtual interface for navigation and accessing various options. It's called the InteractPad. The first handset to have a feature like this was Samsung’s U900 Soul, though that's not as vibrant.

While I quite like this navigation option, which may take a bit of getting used to if you have fat fingers, I’m tempted to toy with the idea of LG bestowing the KF600 with a full-length display. It would increase the size of the viewing space. The bottom portion could still be made touch-sensitive. Then again, would the handset be able to support that technology? Hmm... maybe, maybe not. All told, the InteractPad is a very intuitive system and works with virtually no hitches.

On one side of the handset is a proprietary USB/handsfree/charging port. Under that is a dedicated camera key that can also be used to unlock the navigation pad. A music player shortcut key is located on the other side, just below the volume/zoom keys. The most disappointing thing with the design is the lack of a hot-swap slot for the microSD card, though oddly enough it has one for the SIM. There’s also a stylus that can be attached to the handset via a string and, like the Viewty’s, this one too looks rather like a lipstick.

(cotd.... .... ...)

Its just plain show off and fooling the customers with no use haptics and little use stylus.. Don't think that I am an anti-LG element. I like the company a lot but it has given a huf\ge disappointment with this thing. And the reason.... Can you tell me one solid reason that I spend even 11000 ruppees on it??? Probably not.

Thanks!!

The reviewer says that the pictures (clicked by the cell) are good but I dont find any image quality, the images are not at all sharp and colourful. It is what a phone costing 6000 bucks should give, thats not at all expected from a 15000 bucks phone. He also says the mmusic quality is okay and the battery llife is poor. So what is left in a multimedia phone??? Now lets move to the microSD card support only 1GB, what the hell......... And when it comes to the screen it agan is a pain, you can't laygames or watch videos on a screen as small as just 2". And it has only 256K colours thats plain bullshit. When Noia is giving away over 16 millin colours in phones not even half the cost of this one (Nokia 6300). This phone has no utility at all..... (cotd.... .... ...)

Hello everyone!!

Note: My comment(s) is no offence. My critism should not be taken very seriously. This what I feel and my opinion and nothing against the product. And if I go a bit too harsh with my words please forgive me.

My opinion:
This phone is just a show off yaar. Its not at all worth the 15 grands the company is demanding. It worths not more than 6 grands if you remove the stylus and haptics, and this is how the LG people are fooling the people out there. They have included Haptics and Stylus but tell me one thing do you really need them in a multimeia phone of this type. Just the handwriting recogonition makes it eas to message. It does not have a 3.5mm earphone socket and that's the worst thing which is not even mentioned. (cotd... ... ...)

Hello Everyone!!!

Note: My comment is just an opinion and no offence please dont take my critisicm very sriously as this is my own opinion if I go a bit harsh please forgive me for that.

My opinion:
This phone is a clear way to fool the customers when I saw it I got really excited to see Haptis used but steadily came to know this phone is just for show-off.. Listen people for 1 grands u cn get much much bettr phones out there. I did not like the image quality at all when considering its price. He says the music quality is okay the battery life is poor so whats the need to shell ot\ut 15000 bucks on dis bullshit yar. For a phone of that price the screen should have been much bigger a screen this small is a ain and not at all good for games and videos (cotd... ... ...)
