Creative Zen Vision:M

Good sound / Video quality
Quick conversion of videos
Doesn't require conversion for all video formats
Easy to use PC interface

Some options not easily accessible
Scroll bar is over sensitive

Creative has, well let's just say they have a knack of being just that. The Zen Vision:M is no exception to the kind of ease and functionality that Creative incorporates into their devices. But let’s just see how functional it really is shall we.

Form Factor
I’ll be straight with you (after all that's my job), the Vision:M is a bit bulky with specs like 104 x 62 x 18.6mm and a wee bit heavy at 163g. The brilliant 2.5-inch TFT LCD that supports a 320 x 240 pixel resolution and 262k colors is great for movies and what not. Plus you can also choose from six different colored themes. It has four cottons on either side of the over sensitive (even on low sensitivity) vertical touchpad. On the right of the pad you’ll see the Play/pause key and underneath that is the menu key. On the left is an Open key that can be assigned to particular functions and underneath that is the return or back key that takes you to the previous page. On the right and left edges of the scroll pad are the skip/rewind keys.

The top of the Vision:M has a single switch that works as the power and hold key as well. And the bottom has a propriety slot that's required to be used with an adapter that’s equipped with 3 slots for PC connectivity via USB (the Vision:M can also be charged this way), a 5V DC socket for charging through a wall socket and my personal favorite an AV out so you can hook it up to your TV to view pictures or videos. And finally on the right side at the top you’ll see a small hole with a mic symbol beside it that’s the inbuilt microphone for voice recording.

The scroll bar sensitivity can be easily adjusted to suit the user, so i fail to see how this is a bad point. Overall this is a million times better than the fruity little mp3 player

ZenVison:M is the best player in the market. I'd used almost everything, from Apple Nano/Ipod, Archos 604, Cowon A2 to CreativeZenVison:W and "M" is the best player. It's so easy to use... U can find the Hidden options in Menu->PlayerSettings->View Protected content->Show/Hide. U can assign the shortcut keys for the most used functions also...!

The Creative ZVM ROCKS!!!! WhoHooo and I've got one.
Its probably the best player out there, and its feature set and sound quality is fantastic. YES, I know that Apple sells Millions and Millions'' of iPods all over the world, and has captured India as well, BUT.... I say, why get tied down to one company (esp when i comes to buying music) when you have the whole world of online stores to choose from.
One phrase that I remember that the ZVM uses, stop going around in circles, and get straight to the music.
It doesnt play Quicktime files, and the media converter software is a bit finicky, but its a great buy, and you'll be singing all the way home.

My fav. part the "simple drag and drop the video clips
in the player-connect to the av o/p and rejoice thing".
U save a hell lot on dvd player.
About tht password thing goto system, player settings
and set a password by tapping.

if ur playlist has even 2 songs even then accessing it takes up more time than a normal patient person can take.
one other important feature (according to me) is that
if u lock the player then even if u accidently touch the
touch pad it will not show any display messege or a
picture of a lock hence saving a lot of battery life. You
U can even hav access to a keypad and type the alphabets
by the scroll and tap method. Thats why I like the
sensitive touch pad.Access to "now playing makes it
easier to switch between modes esp. wen ur r listenin to
some hard rock song imm after a soft pop song(as u can
moderate the volume).I m not very impressed with the
smart volume thing though.

According to me this is the best damn player available in the market. It has great video quality, amazing battery life, good
fm reception, sensitive microphone and most importantly
clear audio output. its also resonably priced.

But the size and weight is a downer as u said. but u
forgot to mention tht if u lose the adapter then the
player is as good as a ppr weight.U said tht the touch
pad is a bit too sensitive. But i got used to it in just
a week and now operating it is a breeze.there r a few
other disadvantages like it takes a lotta time to start
and shut this thing down and if ur files r racked up
with 2000+ songs then going back to the main menu takes
up a lot of time.
