Monitor: Dell UltraSharp 2407FPW LCD x2 (Rs. 80,000)
A powerful machine is of little use if a great monitor does not back it up. Keeping this in mind, we chose Dell’s 24-inch monitor. This monster LCD comes with four USB 2.0 Slots and has a native resolution of 1920x1200. Its response time of 5ms (Grey to Grey) allows for fluid video and gameplay at HD resolutions. The monitor also comes fully equipped with S-Video, composite and component inputs therefore allowing you to hook it up to a video camera, gaming console and other external video sources. Hence, for a complete graphical experience. we chose to use two of these beauties in a multi-monitor setup as the perfect solution for our rig.

Keyboard: Logitech G15 Keyboard (Rs. 4,750)
Logitech sure came up with a winner with this one. With wide spaced backlit keys, programmable menus for games and an LCD that shows various machine statistics at a quick glance, this is the keyboard to own.

Mouse: Logitech G5 Laser Mouse (Rs. 3,700)
The G5 is arguably one of the best available gaming and general all purpose mice available today. With its laser tracking capability of 2000 DPI, and its weight system (allows you to set the weight of mouse through plastic weights) this mouse belongs with our roundup. The G5 is normally available as part of a keyboard mouse set with the Logitech G15 Keyboard.

Cabinet: Antec Titan 550 (Rs. 6,000) with Zebronics 730WPSU (Rs. 6,500)
Antec needs no introduction. Over the last few years, it has come to be widely regarded as one of the best cabinet makers in the world. Antec’s Titan series, has reached cult status with assemblers and enthusiasts. For those who plan to multiple raid setups this case will spoil you for choice.

For our power requirements we weighed options from Antec,Coolermaster and Zebronics. We chose to go with Zebronics‘s 730W SLI Ready Unit, which is a well designed unit and can easily power this huge rig.

Speakers: The Creative GigaWorks G750 (Rs 32,000)
The creative Gigaworks have been the standard to emulate for PC speakers for a long time now. The latest in the line of excellent products, the G750 7.1 speaker system embodies the power of speaker technology. In terms of output, it packs in a mere 700W RMS in total. Yep you read it right. 700W RMS. Each of the individual speakers is capable of putting out 70W RMS and the subwoofer 210W RMS.

Snake @ Jul 24, 2007
well i have a similar system, but with a single 2407WFP monitor and onboard audio and stuff, with an 8800.... but still they get outdated pretty soon.....

and even my mammoth pc cannot give the plain joy my psp gives. haha. not to mention the countless trips to nehru place and headaches i went thru building my rig
Akshat @ Jul 04, 2007
this is of no real use, the pc, hardware market is endless, ur 3 lac pc will be old in a year, its frustrating and annoying but you have to live with it,what is of more sense is get a console and a plasma tv which will cost together (MAX 1 lac) and it will last u for 5 to 6 years , what do u say guys , ( a console can play games in 1080i , music , movies, internet, Linux (PS3) , what more does a enthusiast need
rahul @ Jul 04, 2007
Iam eagerly waiting to see the Revised price post budget
Raja @ Mar 27, 2007
This article useful to know the best products available in the market, nobody buys these type of monster comps as i said except knowing the powerful components available.

And i want to know, whether all these products are tested before mentioning here ?
Anand @ Jan 23, 2007
@MaxAxe: Your point's taken but i guess you didnt't read either my post or the thread title carefully enough..
Let me put it for you here: "The Best PC Money Can Buy"
Is the aforementioned Zebby PSU (i repeat) the best that money can buy???
I know u're samrt so I'm assuming you get the point.

Cheers mate!
AMD4Life @ Jan 04, 2007
To mahesh from bangalore....

dude! Theyre talking about assembled computers....Lenovo n all are branded pc's....And its common knowledge tht to cut costs on branded pc's they use cheap motherboards and limited ram....

and second thing....U cant compare an assembled machine to a branded pc!!! Theyre totally different classes! Most branded pc's arent built for graphics processing....Theyre mostly meant for home use! Most assembled computers will totally decimate branded pc's on the spot.......

no offence....Just wanted to point out tht to comment on smthing u shud research it urself first.
Siddharth @ Dec 10, 2006
Hi---you should also add a good processor fan in the list like coolermaster or zalmans cause with such kind of configuration the processor will heat up very fast
note:stock intel processor fan sucks big time
Mack @ Dec 08, 2006
Do you guys actually validate and test this??? Or just put up a list of most best(read expensive) products available in the market. Many manufacturers create products are better suited to be used with a product of the same company.. What is the credibility of this configuration?? Have u tested this against any benchmark(may be compare with it with the lenovo or windows multimedia pcs)... Guys you have so much to learn about hardware...Go to think that someone might read this article and go about spend 300,000 odd.. Ridiculous!! I dont mean offence, just need to tell you that unless u benchmark or test ur configuration ur advice is as good as mine :)!
Mahesh, Bangalore @ Nov 27, 2006
Thanx, nice search and keep upgrading. Can u compare your pc with dell ranegade pc.Coz price comes almost the same.
dhruv & delhi @ Nov 26, 2006
I think i shoud start computer planning before family planning
max pune @ Nov 25, 2006
Why wont my comment go through .......... Are we still carrying the old issues from tt????
MaxAxe,Chennai @ Nov 25, 2006
Amd ....... Dude, have you used the psu that is being rated here ? Zebby's are one of the most stable psu's in the market, i am currently running an amd fx 55 on an msi neo4 platinum board and the leadtek 8800 gts and 2 wd 250 gb drives in raid config in a zeb sli case on a zeb 620 w psu, and the config is rock steady.. So let alone a 730 w ... On the case front i would surely say something better could have been done, a stacker definitely fits the bill.
btw, have you guys at tech2 even thought of any other brand than xfx for the card ? Dont you know that the current xfx 8800 gtxs are coming as flawed, with the same resistor issue ?
MaxAxe,Chennai @ Nov 25, 2006
I think some body should go to bank ask to empty the atm or looot the atm so easly u can buy i think icicicicic is good.

kidding guys,,,
shyam Noida @ Nov 25, 2006
Whom to contact for buying this heaven?? Can this also be connected with a ps and also plugged in with a cable tv and use plasma instead of monitor.....

please can u come back wid d price...
Rishi Jain, Delhi @ Nov 24, 2006
Hmm....Which bank should i rob ? :d
Rohit, Goa @ Nov 21, 2006
Very interesting!!

but the case+psu was a bit of a dampner..A cm stacker or even the p180 would've been so much better..(remember as the title says.."the best that money can buy" :p)
for such a high-end system, a zebby psu is nothing short of a joke!! (sorry for the in-your-face honesty)
an enthusiast never compromises on the psu!!
AMD4Life Delhi @ Nov 21, 2006
Plz with the price list also give the name and adress of the vendor if possible cos normally these parts are not available or are costly than what u hav specified
chinmay, mumbai @ Nov 20, 2006
I really like reading your notes. The one thing i like is the fact that you keep updating regularly. I would however like you to do one on a pc in the range of about 80000 rs. This would be considered a hi - end pc and would still be affordable for a general person. Thank you for your great reviews and updates.
Mumbai @ Nov 20, 2006
I am curious: would any one buy a pc for rs. 4 lacs? Though this article is a good read (makes one aware of the best components available) - don't know if this pc is actually realistic!!!
Anand Nagarajan, Chennai @ Nov 20, 2006
Well tech2 is an indian site must be these products available in india. Core 2 duo is launched 5 months before still the dealers are unaware of the name are these products available in the market??
mayank,delhi @ Nov 20, 2006
This is very nice but has no practical application whatsoever i have an earnest request that in future you devote your research to things having more practical application and not indulge in needless flights of fancy.
Gaurav Delhi @ Nov 20, 2006
This is really great...Kudos tech2...Just a request...If u cud put up pricelists of all the components every month...It will be of gr8 help to all the enthusiasts out there like me...
