Automobile Buffs Get Search Engine

12 Feb, 2007, 4:30 pm IST | Priyanka Pradhan | Services

FyberSearch has launched Revved Search, a search engine that enables users to find factual information about automobiles. This search engine also includes advanced search features, and claims to have one of the largest databases on the Internet.

Revved search allows users to select the make, model or year of the vehicle they are searching for, to preview the corresponding makes, models, years and variants of all matching vehicles. The engine also has a search box that allows users to enter any piece of information they know about the vehicle they want to find, to see all corresponding results.

The engine also helps users refine their results by entering an approximate value, miles per gallon, weight, horsepower, pounds per horsepower, torque, transmission type, transmission speed, and number of engine liters, engine configuration and the number of engine cylinders.

FyberSearch, founded by Nathan Enns in November 2003, says its mission is "To make the entire web useful to each individual by providing them with the control they need to receive the results they desire."
