Blaupunkt Launches TravelPilot Series in India

Blaupunkt has announced the launch of the TravelPilot series - portable satellite navigation systems - in India.


Available in three models - TravelPilot 100, TravelPilot Lucca 3.5 and TravelPilot 300 - the systems are easy to install and use, with route guidance based on a combination of spoken and visual recommendations.

Map data from 'MapmyIndia' will help consumers with comprehensive road and navigation information across the country, with map coverage across 174 cities, connected by national highways, state highways and other major roads apart from providing points of interest across categories such as restaurants, ATMs, hotels etc.

The Blaupunkt TravelPilot 100 navigation system delivers intuitive operation, high speed route calculation and accurate route guidance using visual and acoustic recommendations. It is aimed at the motorist who wants a simple portable satellite navigation system. The Blaupunkt TravelPilot 100 navigation system is priced at Rs. 18,990.

The Blaupunkt TravelPilot Lucca 3.5 combines easy 'Plug and Play' installation and uses colour menus and intuitive instructions. The device allows the uploading of additional navigation data and playback of music files and JPG images. It is priced at Rs. 21,990.

The Blaupunkt TravelPilot 300 can be operated via a touch screen and offers a variety of driver assistance functions, including an integrated light sensor to automatically switch the display from day to night illumination as required and five different route options. In addition to high-speed route calculation and reliable route guidance, the system is also equipped with an integrated Bluetooth to accommodate mobile phone and entertainment functions. The integrated Bluetooth enables not only hands-free speaking and listening but also direct call dialing. It is also able to play back MP3 music files via audio streaming. The product has a 4.3-inch color display, a voice recorder and five video games.

The TravelPilot 300 costs Rs. 25,990.
