Following LG's combined Blu-ray and HD-DVD player, Warner has decided to tackle the problem in a different way by launching a dual-format disc, calling it the 'Total Hi Def' disc. The disc will have both Blu-ray and HD-DVD compatible content and will also be dual-layer capacities. A Superman Returns THD disc was used to demonstrate the concept. No titles have been announced yet, but Warner has announced that discs in this format should be out by the second half of the year. |
