| In what should come as no surprise to any one the rush for Microsoft Office 2007 Beta 2 has been so much that it has forced Microsoft to issue a notice that come this Wednesday it would start charging customers $1.50 to download the beta. This move is designed to recover at least partially the cost occurred by the company in order to bring the beta of its productivity suite to the masses. In just two months there have been over 3 million downloads which has exceeded Microsoft's expectation of downloads by a huge margin. The beta has been generally well received with its unique new UI and closer integration with existing Microsoft enterprise productivity suites. |
