Mozilla Offers N900 as Prize in Mobile Add-on Developer Contest

13 Nov, 2009, 1:22 pm IST | Shayne Rana | Windows

Mozilla is now offering developers a chance to win a spanking new Nokia N900. In an effort to reach out to the development community and offer mobile users a better experience with their Firefox browser from mobile devices, Mozilla has designed a contest of sorts.

They’ve called on developers to try their hand at creating a Firefox add-on for the mobile browser. Judges will select a total of 10 add-ons ‘that best represent user experience and innovation on Firefox for mobile devices’. For developers who’ve already submitted add-ons, they can choose to submit their entries as well by simply confirming that they should be entered into the judging process.

Confirmations can be emailed in to clooney@mozilla.com.

The closing date for new entries is December 7, 2009. For a list of the contest rules click here. Good luck!
