Pentax Launches Optio Z10 Digital Camera

Pentax along with India partner, IDLDPL (India Digital Life Style Distributors Pvt. Ltd.) has announced the Optio Z10 digital camera. The 8 megapixel camera comes with a 2.5-inch LCD that offers a viewing angle of 170 degrees. It also features 7x optical zoom lens, shake reduction and face recognition that can detect the faces of up to 15 people at one time with a detection time of 0.03 seconds. It is compatible with SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, and offers 52 MB of built-in-memory. Pentax Optio Z10's Auto Picture mode lets the camera automatically determine the best setting for shooting conditions such as Landscape, Portrait, Night Scene, and Normal modes and chooses the optimal settings for each subject. It features FotoNation red-eye compensation function for flash shots, ACDsee for PENTAX 3.0 image viewer/image management software that supports Windows Vista and supports PictBridge, DPOF functions, Eixf Print, and PRINT Image Matching III. Surinder Saini, Assistant-VP, Sales, IDLDPL, said, "The Optio Z10 8MP Digital Camera is very sleek and delivers the finest picture quality one desire for. It is equipped with the unique 7X optical zoom lens providing a magnificent photographic experience. Not only that the camera has as many as 15 shooting modes for different environment. The camera is equipped with a unique High-speed Face Recognition AF&AE function which detects the faces of up to 15 people at once which means a wide photography experience.
