Thanko Develops DAP with Manual Charger

28 Mar, 2008, 4:00 pm IST | Shayne Rana | PMPs

Have you ever had a problem with boredom and your only means of entertainment, your precious MP3 player, has died from sheer exhaustion? I’d consider this a crisis people, especially if there’s no way to charge it up. Thank goodness for companies like Thanko who love inventing gadgets for just such situations.

Their latest development is their Cranking MP3 player. Why ‘Cranking’? That’s because the player has a wind up lever so you can manually charge it up. One minute of a little arm exercising with the player will give you boredom relief of about 10 minutes. SO you’ll at least be able to listen to your music for a bit longer. Of course the player can also be charged normally through AC (adapter) or via USB when connected to a USB.

It comes equipped with 1GB of internal memory and should set you back about Rs. 2,416 (6000 Yen)
