Samsung’s YP-S2 is one more of those faceless DAPs that are simple in design and functionality and offer the minimalist user easy transport and playback for their audio files. In this case sound quality and price play important roles in determining the rating. So let’s get to it. The five-way nav-pad has volume keys, forward/back keys that double as rewind and fast forward, and a Power/Play/Pause key. A sixth button constitutes an on-the-fly EQ preset switcher. The YP-S2 also has a 3.5mm earphone jack located on one side that doubles as a USB port/charger (converter provided). The earphones come attached to a loop that goes around your neck and are extremely comfortable. The 3.5mm pin also has a clip that attaches to the player so it doesn’t slip off. The device weighs just 13g so it’s light and won’t feel like a millstone around your neck. Performance |
