Samsung YP-T9

Well Samsung has done it again! Their innovativeness with designs, and ability to keep their products sleek and sexy never fails to surprise me. The Samsung YP-T9 MP3 player, or rather, personal media player is no exception.

Design
This chic, light weight player is an amazing looker. It’s a mere 3.3 x 0.4 x 1.7 inches and weighs not more than a measly 1.7 ounces. It’s a marvelously tiny player that could be held in the palm of your hand, and no one would know. But that's not the point now, is it?

Even though its so compact, Samsung has managed to stuff all sorts of surprises downs its tiny neck. Its 1.8-inch TFT LCD display is bright and clear and has an easy-on-the-eye interface, with large icons. To minimize its size, Samsung has cleverly placed the menu and other buttons on the sides of the T9. Now you could assume it would be a bit awkward to use the buttons like that, but you’d be mistaken. It tends to add a bit of ease to the whole 'selecting of settings' bit. For added convenience, the T9 has a 5 way navigation pad in front. This is also designed for ease while scrolling through the many options.

I’m once again quite pleased with the earphones provided. They are ergonomically shaped and more traditional in design as compared to the Samsung K5. They sit perfectly in your ears and again I’m glad they have a standard 3.5mm jack. This is perfect, you simply plug it into an amp or a set of speakers and share your music.
