Tech 2.0's favorite TV Shows

Our weekend lists seem to be doing quite well, and they should. Weekend is a great time to relax and kick-back before Monday shows up again, and what better articles to read than off-topic ones.

We’ve already spoken about the regular movies we like and our love for bad cinema, and now we move on to the smaller screen. TV shows these days are no the low-budget compromised entertainment as they used to be; these days some shows are spending movie-sized budgets on every episode. The plots are getting better and so is the overall entertainment value.

So here are our picks of the shows we think are awesome, and also what we’re watching these days.

Shayne Rana’s Top Picks

A-Team
A group of elite commandos who were wrongly accused by the US Military escape jail and become underground vigilantes in the fight for justice. Each of these individuals brings something to the table in the way of skill and expertise in a designated field. Besides growing up with this series in the 80’s, the A-Team is all about being a guy, crackin’ skulls, building stuff out of anything available and simply kicking the bad guys butts. The series also featured a few of the hottest women of that time and the best part, irrespective of how much damage and vehicle crashes you’d see, NO ONE was ever hurt. They’d always crawl out from the wreck.

M.A.S.H.
It stood for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital. The show was about a group pf young doctors and army officers who made up the 4077 M.A.S.H. unit. The show had a perfect blend of insanity, zany antics and flaky come backs; there was still quite a lot of depth to most of the episodes. The story of the Korean War weaving though the series, riddled with humor and great writing made the show very entertaining. There’s plenty of slapstick escapades thrown in as well, in case the verbal humor got a little too much.

The Jefferson’s
One of the classic sitcoms of the 70’s and 80’s, the Jefferson’s were a crazy African American couple who made it big in the big city and each episode was filled with insane humor both verbal and visual. The crazy antics and off beat characters who make regular appearances are well written in and make even the reruns of the reruns something worth watching.
