JBL launches Jembe speakers in India for Rs. 2,990

JBL as a brand is extremely popular when it comes to audio equipment. The brand, well known for its car stereo systems as well as speaker sets, has added a new loudspeaker system to its speaker protfolio. The company has announced the availability of the Jembe, a speaker system that will be ideal for a computer set up.

According to the announcement, JBL states that the Jembe is a two-piece entertainment loudspeaker system and includes a built-in power amplifier and a Slipstream port that creates rich bass with low distortion from a 2.0 computer system or a multimedia device.

Priced just under Rs. 3,000

The 1/8-inch (3.5-millimeter) headphone jack connects easily to PC, laptop or portable MP3 music device. The Jembe loudspeakers fit unobtrusively on any desk or bookshelf and can enhance the multimedia experience by offering a realistic sound quality, claims JBL.

The JBL Jembe combines form, functionality and affordability. It has a very interesting user interface inspired by the Jembe drums, a musical instrument of African origins.

There are two sets of speakers in the Jembe range including the standard wired set and the Jembe Wireless desktop speakers. The wireless speakers use Bluetooth technology to connect to laptops, smartphones, tablets, and any other device supporting Bluetooth technology. The two-piece JBL Jembe wired speaker system is available in India at a price of Rs. 2,990. As of now, there is no word on when the Bluetooth model will be available in India.
