LG Delivers Cinema-Like 3D Experience

Last week, LG had introduced its latest offering in the Korean and French markets. This week, it has come down with its fare to India.

All set to go 3-dimensional?

LG, a popular electronics brand in the country has introduced its range of Cinema 3D TVs in India, today. Debuting in India, LG promises to get in cinema-like 3D viewing experience on your home front. The two models - LW6500 and LW5700 are LG’s first players in this space. The LW6500 is available in the market in 42 and 47-inch sizes, whereas the LW5700 is available in 42, 47 and 55-inch sizes.

In its 3D TV range, LG has incorporated its proprietary FPR (Film Patterned Retarder) technology. This technology, LG assures will eliminate the common glitches that come with 3D technology like crosstalk which implies to the feeling of dizziness, and fatigue in the eyes, and so on. Also, LG proudly struts around the 3D space with the ‘Flicker free’ certification from Intertek and TÜV, making it the world’s first 3D TV to receive the designation. Intertek and TUV are two world-renowned certification agencies based in Europe. The range also includes 3D glasses, which LG claims make for comfortable viewing. They come in four different models for different segments. At the launch, LG gave four sets of glasses with every TV. Additional sets would cost consumers an extra INR 1,000 on MRP. Yet another interesting aspect that caught our eye was the 2D to 3D conversion ability that this range possesses. Owing to this, viewers will never fall short of content as their existing content will be convertible to 3D.
