APB Teaser Site Launched

24 Dec, 2008, 12:40 pm IST | by Avinash Bali |

Realtime Worlds, the same people behind last year’s Crackdown, are working hard on an urban MMO called APB (All Points Bulletin). Information regarding this game has been very slim till date and well, it still continues to be so. The only sliver of information we have to hold onto emerges in the form of a teaser site launched today and we’re hoping it gets populated with some titbits of info ASAP.

And in case you have no clue as to what this game is all about, here’s a bit of enlightenment free of cost:

APB is an action based massively multiplayer online title being developed by Realtime Worlds (creators of the award winning Xbox 360 title Crackdown). The game utilizes cutting edge technology (Unreal Engine3) in order to bring the polish of next generation art and gameplay into the massively multiplayer online space.

The game is set in a fictitious modern day metropolis and focuses on the conflict between two factions: Enforcement and Criminals. The game itself centres on player versus player combat and will be the first massively multiplayer online title where player skill determines character progression as opposed to the traditional model of time investment.

I only hope this game doesn't get lost forever like Huxley.
