ATEN Unveils New 2-Port USB HDMI Cable KVM Switch

ATEN International expands its PETITE series by introducing a 2-port USB HDMI KVM Switch -- the CS692.  This new compact KVM switch allows users to control two HDMI-enabled computers from one USB keyboard, one USB mouse and one HDMI monitor. Featuring an unbeatable combination of HDMI functionality, USB 2.0 peripheral sharing, gaming keyboard support, and enhanced user-friendly operations, the CS692 allows users to keep up with the latest innovations in desktop multimedia applications.

For a tidy workplace and trouble-free installation, the CS692 comes in a compact design and has two built-in 1.2m cables. Users can switch between computers via hotkeys or the innovative remote port selector. The CS692 also offers the latest mouse port-switching function that allows users to simply double-click on the scroll wheel of a USB mouse to change ports.

The CS692 is fully compliant with HDMI 1.3a Digital standards with HDCP copy protection compatibility allowing users to enjoy Blu-ray content at Full HD 1080p resolution and Dolby True HD/ DTS HD sound. It is equipped with ATEN’s exclusive Video DynaSync technology, which eliminates any problems that usually occurs during computer boot-up, and helps maintain monitor settings to optimize resolution and ensure the best image quality while switching between ports. Furthermore, the CS692 provides great image quality with a resolution of up to 1920 x 1200 and works seamlessly with popular wide-screen LCD monitors.

The device is compatible with multiple platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, as well as supports Windows 7 systems. In addition, it is audio-enabled, supporting microphones and speakers. With a full  bass response, the CS692 provides rich sound experience for 2.1 surround sound systems. As the KVM and audio focus can be switched independently, users can, for example, listen to audio output on one  PC while playing video games or working with office applications on another PC.

Another user-friendly feature is power on detection, which allows the CS692 to automatically switch to the powered-on computer when the other shuts down. Furthermore, the CS692’s USB 2.0 mouse port can be used for a USB hub to allow peripheral sharing, providing yet more convenience for the desktop user. And that is not all – the console mouse port emulation/bypass feature allows CS692 to support most mouse drivers and multifunction mice. The CS692 allows multifunction and is compatible wireless keyboards and mice.
