Budget 2007: Cameras

28 Feb, 2007, 3:21 pm IST | by Gagan Gupta |

Good news for photographers and people dealing in digital cameras. The basic on the digital cameras have been reduced from 12.5% to 10%, which will translate to a more competitive pricing in the camera segment.

However, since the EDU CESS has gone up, the difference may not exactly translate to a complete 2.5% drop. Instead, the drop would be more like 1.5% to 2%.
