ArcSoft has just released the ArcSoft MediaConverter 2.5, a multimedia conversion application. It is certified for Windows Vista and includes new features. DVD conversion is fully supported, as is automatic conversion and uploading of files to the popular video sharing website, YouTube. "The demand for a broader range of file format support and greater ease in transferring files continues to grow," said Michael Downs, ArcSoft Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. "In addition to increasing file format support, MediaConverter 2.5 greatly increases device support to include many more mobile phones from Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia, Palm, Samsung, and Sony. With more than 50 device-specific templates, people don't have to know all the complex parameters needed for reformatting and transferring video to portable players." MediaConverter 2.5 reformats and optimizes videos, photos, and audio on a PC for transfer and playback on a variety of portable media players and mobile phones. The new version includes extended device support and format support for DVD, YouTube, and VOB conversion. Other supported formats include MP4, MP3, AVI, ASF, WMV, MOV, and RM. ArcSoft MediaConverter 2.5 performs high-quality conversions and can easily convert and transfer with preset templates for over 50 device-specific profiles. Users can import and convert DVDs, specifying languages and subtitles, preview converted files at full screen, import VOBs and select from multiple audio streams and upload converted files to YouTube. MediaConverter 2.5 is available for OEM bundling or for retail purchase for US$29.99. Existing users can upgrade for US$9.99. Click here for more info. |
