Razer, a manufacturer of precision gaming and lifestyle electronics peripherals, is showcasing the Razer Mako 2.1 multimedia speaker system in Hannover, Germany, at the CeBIT 2007 tradeshow. Journalists will experience the Razer Mako first-hand and meet with sound engineers and scientists of Razer THX Ltd. President of Razer, Robert 'Razerguy' Krakoff, and chief scientist of THX, Laurie Fincham, will also be on hand to demonstrate the Mako. "The Razer Mako turns any desktop into an amazing soundstage and fills more of a room with sound, so listeners are assured of having clear and crisp acoustics," said Robert "Razerguy" Krakoff, president of Razer. "With the Razer Mako, we are committed to offering the best audio experience possible, so both game and music lovers can have the best in desktop audio." Razer has partnered with THX Ltd. to deliver the first desktop multimedia system to feature THX Ground Plane and THX Slot Speaker technologies, which bring true audio fidelity to the desktop. Designed from the ground up to provide optimal performance on desktop audio systems, the THX Ground Plane and Slot Speaker technologies raise the bar for acoustic fidelity and performance in the desktop category. The THX Certified Razer Mako will deliver sonic presentations that are the best-in-class for any 2.1 desktop speaker system. "With typical desktop speakers, sound reflecting from the surface of a desk or bookshelf reinforces or cancels direct sound from the speaker, which can degrade the quality of music and movie soundtracks," said Laurie Fincham, chief scientist at THX Ltd. "The THX Ground Plane and Slot Speaker technologies allow the drive units to be positioned very close to the desktop surface, ensuring that the Razer Mako system reinforces the direct sound and delivers smooth, even response at all frequencies." Razer Mako features Patented THX Ground Plane and THX Slot Speaker Technology, THX Certified for optimum quality and performance, Bi-amplified satellites (2x50 watts each) with DSP control, Powered subwoofer, Frequency range 30-20,000 Hz +/-6dB, Frequency response 40-18,000 Hz +/- 2dB, Total system power 300 watts, ClassHD Digital Amplifier technology with full DSP control, Amplified headphone jack. In addition to the Razer Mako, other Razer products being displayed at CeBIT Hannover include those from the Razer ProSolutions line. Among them is the ivory white Razer ProType. It is the first keyboard with an integrated iPod dock, enabling easy synchronization and charging of all iPods without the hassle of additional wiring. Razer ProType features integrated iPod dock, 10 customizable profiles, 10 programmable keys, Ultra touch-sensitive keys, On-the-Fly profile switching. Another product is the Razer ProClick Mobile, a Bluetooth laptop mouse for individuals on the go or whenever space is a constraint. It's available in four colors. Razer ProClick Mobile features Bluetooth 2.0 (with adaptive frequency hopping), long battery life (requires two AA batteries) and an ambidextrous design. |
