Composer Christopher Tin has made the video game community proud. According to Gamespot, his track "Baba Yetu" used in turn based strategy game, Civilization IV has been the first video game to snap up a Grammy Award – like ever. Image courtesy - thetanooki In addition to winning the Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) award, his debut album, Calling All Dawns (that features the song as well) picked up an award for Best Classical Crossover Album. For all those who haven’t played the game yet, we’ve included the Swahili track below that’s a translation to a popular Christian prayer, Our Father. Major props going out to Christopher Tin once again for accomplishing something so significant for the video game industry. |
