Crysis 2 in 3D as Good as Avatar?

14 Jan, 2011, 11:44 am IST | by Avinash Bali |

In a recent interview with British video game magazine, Edge, Crytek’s President Cevat Yerli threw humility out of the window comparing Crysis 2’s 3D with that of James Cameron’s Avatar. Now before you think this dude has completely lost his marbles, he apparently has a very credible source to back his claim up in the form of James Cameron himself, who seemed highly impressed with Crytek’s 3D tech.

The Big Apple is about to receive a major face lift

This may have something to do with the fact that Crysis 2 isn’t the first time Crytek have dabbled in 3D. They apparently worked on a project in stereoscopic 3D nearly two and half years ago and now have managed to incorporate all their knowledge into Crysis 2.

So there you go. Crysis 2 now has James Cameron’s approval. If that doesn’t make you go out and buy the game, I really don’t know what will.
