Crysis 2 may be around the corner (well March 22nd to be precise) but that hasn’t stopped developer Crytek from working hard on another first person shooter called Warface. While this sounds like a fairly generic bit of news on a Monday morning, the kicker over here is that the game is an online only shooter and will be FREE to play. Got your attention now right? Get your Warface on So anyway the game is an online only military shooter set in the near future (but of course) and will apparently offer "a cinematic experience with next gen visuals, AI and physics based on Crytek’s CryENGINE 3". The game follows a quasi MMO (massively multiplayer online) model where players will constantly indulge in class based PVP (Player vs. Player) as well as co-operative PVE (Player vs. Environment) modes. The game’s being co-developed by Crytek’s newly opened Korean studio and will primarily be targeted at Korean and other Asian markets, which we’re hoping include India as well. |
