Dead Space is one of the few games out there that managed to traverse the fine line between action and horror, without resorting to cheap scares (*cough* Doom *cough*). Ooo. A dark corridor. That looks so totally safe. And now as gamers the world over gear up (and stock up on clean underpants) for its sequel to drop on the 25th of January, EA today announced that their iOS game, titled Dead Space, would be hitting iTunes that very same day. Dead Space for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad will bridge the gap between Dead Space 1 and 2 and will not, thankfully, be an on-rails shooter. EA claims it is in fact a faithful recreation of its older console brethren featuring all the gameplay mechanics players have grown to expect from this franchise. This will also include drop kicking demonic babies so yes, the game is not for the faint-hearted. This isn't a good sign If mobile gaming isn’t your thing, do try out the Dead Space 2 demo that’s available on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live since a while now. |
