Activision today announced that ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash will be making his appearance in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock as a boss battle and will even provide an original track for the game. The game will also feature the GNR hit "Welcome to the Jungle" in addition to tracks by other well known "legends" like The Rolling Stones, Beastie Boys, Muse, Pearl Jam and more. "Guitar legend Slash, combined with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock’s robust soundtrack and innovative new game features, will continue to solidify the brand’s leadership in the rhythm-action genre," said Robin Kaminsky, executive vice president of Activision Publishing.
