E3 2009: Splinter Cell Conviction is Reborn

Microsoft’s press conference today was pretty awesome. They showcased tons of new games but one game that stood out of all of them for me in particular was Splinter Cell Conviction. Forget what you’ve seen about the game in the past; this game has undergone a major revamp and is "Bigger and more badass" than ever before. While the game’s core stealth mechanics are still in place, you have a brand new brutal hand to hand combat system that makes you feel every punch or kick you land on someone’s face. Even though the game is still a linear game it’ll offer a sandbox-ish approach to certain missions. Shooting mechanics have been significantly worked upon as well and if you feel like, you can convert the game into a full fledged 3rd person shooter thanks to Sam’s new balls-to-the-wall approach. On the flip side the game’s now an Xbox360 exclusive. |
