| The ever-evolving Google Desktop search tool has finally emerged out of its beta. Google will launch on Monday a finalised version of its desktop search tool. Until now, the Google Desktop Search tool could only index the names of PDF and multimedia files but the new version improves on this by indexing the entire content of PDF files and the metadata of multimedia files, such as song and artist names in music files. With this version, the product officially exits its beta, or test phase and is now considered a finished product. For full details on the various changes check out this post at Digitial Inspiration.
