Grand Theft Auto IV screenshot a hoax: Rockstar

The Grand Theft Auto IV screenshot that's been circulating on the Internet is in fact a hoax, as confirmed by Rockstar to Eurogamer.net. The screen that features a chick walking around in what looks like a 50s setting with a mace in hand looks pretty cartoony, something the game may not be, since it'll be made using Rockstar's RAGE engine (Table Tennis).
The screenshot appeared in inboxes of certain media organizations under the heading "From a disgruntled Rockstar employee". In none of the GTA games have there ever been a female protagonist (let alone a mace wielding one), but you never know what Rockstar's capable of. No official media or any sort of official announcement regarding the plot has been revealed. What we do have is some scanty details, which you could check out here.
