I Am Alive, Ubisoft’s upcoming first person game has ironically been dead for a while now. Announced way back in E3 2009, the game has faced numerous delays over the past few years. Pegged as a modern day survival adventure, I Am Alive would allow players to experience a highly devastating earthquake in Chicago. This earthquake not only brings the entire city to its knees but cuts it out from the rest of the world as well. An acute water shortage, mass hysteria and a violent survival instinct kicks right in, making life a living hell for players. Lending a helping hand Besides raw force, players would also have to employ certain strategic tactics to stay alive like setting traps and using the environment against enemies. The concept did sound rather interesting, breaking away from clichéd first person games. Now it turns out Ubisoft has lost faith in their product and will try and push it out this year itself. However, instead of a releasing the game on disc, it’ll be available via digital download only, hitting Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network sometime later this year. This news has reached us via Czech gaming site Gamezin so take it with a pinch of salt. Ubisoft have not issued an official statement yet. |
