The IE blog the official MSDN blog for Internet Explorer has posted that IE7 will be rolled out via Automatic Updates a few weeks after it's available for download. Here is what they have to say: As we get close to the final availability of Internet Explorer 7, I want to provide an update on our distribution plans. To help our customers become more secure and up-to-date, we will distribute IE7 as a high-priority update via Automatic Updates (AU) shortly after the final version is released for Windows XP, planned for the fourth quarter of this year. While IE7 betas have been available for quite some time and generally have been stable it might be worthwhile waiting for a few weeks in case last minute errors, which are commonplace with such releases, crop up. |
