According to reports, Kodak has launched two new DPFs – the W820 with an 8-inch display and the W1020 with a 10-inch display. What will make these frames stand apart from others is the fact that both of them sport Wi-Fi capability. Another new feature is the Quick Touch Border that is touch-sensitive and can control other features. Wi-Fi will enable users to use sites like Flickr, FrameChannel and Kodak Gallery. The W820 and W1020 DPFs can display images in widescreen format i.e. 16:9 aspect ratio so you can expect bands on either side of your images unless you're camera can capture images in that format. The exact pixel resolution has not been clearly provided but it's said to be of some unspecified HD resolution. They also use Kodak Color Science to help boost the color and skin tones in the images. Other features include a media player for music and video. Both frames also accommodate the use of CF, SD, MMC, XD and MS external memory cards and come equipped with 512MB of internal user memory with USB connectivity for hooking them up to a PC for file transfer. The W820 and W1020 DPFs are priced at Rs. 10,415 ($250) and Rs. 11,935 ($280) respectively. |
