Mirror's Edge Free on iTunes

04 Jan, 2011, 11:20 am IST | by Avinash Bali |

Mirror’s Edge may have not been a commercial success but it was a unique and an entertaining game that allowed players to indulge in some parkour action from a first person perspective. We aren’t too sure if EA have a sequel up their sleeve but in the meantime they’ve gone ahead and ported the game to the iOS platform in a rather cool way.

You gotta have Faith

Instead of actually controlling Faith’s movements, players now only have to dodge obstacles, focusing completely on maintaining momentum through the game’s environments that includes a bunch of rooftops and sewers. Oh and the game has now moved out of the FPS space into a more conventional side scrolling platforming one.

But all that was nearly five months when EA launched the game. Today it’s free on iTunes for the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad. We strongly suggest you grab it ASAP as it seems this deal is on just for the day.
