Modern Warfare 2 Pricing Beyond Ridiculous

24 Oct, 2009, 11:11 am IST | by Avinash Bali |

I love the Call of Duty series. I remember playing Modern Warfare multiplayer for hours on end and even though a lot of people didn’t like it, I ended up killing World at War as well. Next month was to be the happiest month of my life with Activision releasing Modern Warfare 2 across all platforms.

I had cleared out my social calendar and made sure I would stay indoors for at least a week. But now my plans have been quite literally peed upon by the greediest publisher on the planet, Activision.

I just got off the phone with the admin of Indianvideogamer who’s told me that the Xbox360 and the PS3 version of the game will be ludicrously priced at Rs. 3,499. The PC version of the game will be priced at Rs. 1,299 but its status remains "delayed indefinitely".  The hardened and the Prestige edition of the game will be released over here as well for Rs 4,999 and Rs 9,999 respectively.

I think this right here is the final nail in the coffin. First they go ahead and axe dedicated servers from the PC version, then they ignore their fans and now they plan on fleecing you for all you've got. Hurray Activision you just positioned yourself as the most loathed publisher on the planet.
