After the disappointing MK VS DC Universe, the Mortal Kombat franchise is all set to redeem itself by going back to its hyper-violent, fatality fuelled roots. Hell, the PS3 version of the game will ship with the most angry character on the PlayStation 3 - the God of War himself, Kratos. And now laying on some icing on this bloody cake is the announcement of two collector’s editions of the game. First up, we have the Tournament Edition that’ll ship with the game, a portable fight stick (Whoa!), and downloadable content that’ll include an exclusive Mortal Kombat Klassic costume skin and avatar costumes. The Tournament Edition Next we have the Kollector's Edition that’ll feature the game, Sub-Zero and Scorpion figurines, a collectible art book and downloadable content that will include an exclusive Mortal Kombat Klassic costume skin and avatar costumes. The Kollector's Edition According to the Gaming Liberty, both bundles are limited to the US but since Warner Bros. have started distributing their games in India via E-xpress, we hope that at least one - if not both - makes it to Indian shores. Mortal Kombat will release for the Xbox360 and PS3 by March 2011. |
