If you’re a StarCraft fan, here’s some news that’ll make you thank your stars. At Blizzard’s World Wide Invitiational in Korea (the land of the StarCraft fan), they finally turned a rumor into reality – StarCraft 2 exists! The game will look a lot like the original StarCraft (a lot better though), so you’ll feel right at home when it comes out. A few of the units were reveled in the event, which include Protoss Immortals which activates a shield every time they get hit hard, and Terran Reapers which are a sort of light weight jump-jet infantry. Here’s what Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment said about the game: "With StarCraft II, we'll be able to do everything we wanted to do with the original StarCraft and more…" "We recognize that expectations are high following the long-running popularity of the original game, but we plan to meet those expectations and deliver an engaging, action-packed, competitive experience that StarCraft players and strategy gamers worldwide will enjoy." I don’t doubt them one bit; Blizzard has never made a bad title, and I hope that they deliver with this game too. Stay tuned to Tech2.com for more information, as and when we come by it. |
