A new day and yet another enthusiast level mouse. Just days after Microsoft, Logitech and Razer have made their announcements; SteelSeries makes theirs too. Unlike the majors listed above, SteelSeries worked with professional gamers for over 15 months. In this period they studied and did extensive research in the area ergonomics, technology, shape, motion, hand grip and play styles by gamers. The result was the introduction of two new mice namely the Ikari Optical and the Ikari Laser mouse. Both these mice come with chassis shaped to accommodate the three predominant methods of grip utilized by gamers today i.e. Swipe, Claw, and Palm. The chassis features five buttons with high quality gaming grade contacts. The SteelSeries Ikari mice also have an anti-sweat and slip-resistant surface coating to improve mouse control during intense gaming sessions. The SteelSeries Ikari Optical was designed as top performer for FPS gamers. It was built and designed with proven optical technology to allow gamers consistent, fast movements without technical difficulties of any kind. The SteelSeries Ikari Laser mouse was specifically designed for RTS and MMO gamers in mind that features programmable macros and custom settings designed to increase the users Actions Per Minute (APM) count. It sports onboard memories and can recall Macros. The new gaming mice from SteelSeries will be released Q4 2007. |
