Techcom has unveiled its newest offering in the portable TV tuner space. The device is called the “SSD TV 817” and could be mistaken for a flash drive at first glance. The device is a powerful external TV tuner that transforms your PC or laptop into a TV by a simple plug and play method. Powered by USB, the device requires no extra power. It also comes with a fully functioning remote control. Awesome things in small packages The “SSD TV 817” supports PAL, NTSC and SECAM platforms. It also provides a video capture function which allows you to record and save your favourite TV shows and with the FM radio functionality, you can enjoy your favourite tunes through your PC or laptop. The SSD TV 817 USB TV stick even provides you with the option to schedule TV recording, this is a boon to those who are not at home when their favourite show airs, the device enables you to capture still images and save them to your computer as a BMP file.The package comes with a remote control (battery included), 1-4 multi cable, Quick Installation Guide and a Software CD for easy installation and use.
