TF2 Pyro Update Unveiled

After the plethora of content pumped into Team Fortress 2 via the Gold Rush/Medic patch, Valve’s unveiled their next major patch that will focus on the Pyro class. There will be many core changes made to the class, aside from the new unlockables and achievements.

The most intriguing unlock is the ‘Axtinguisher’, that’s an axe that doesn’t do as much damage as the normal axe, but when it strikes an enemy that’s set ablaze by the pyro’s flamethrower, it guarantees a critical hit. Here’s what Valve’s spokesperson had to say:

"We've spent time looking at how the recent Medic release went, and have rolled feedback from that release into the new item designs for the Pyro and into the design of the achievements required to unlock those items."

After the medic patch, it seemed like an army of medics poured into the game. I can only imagine how chaotic the game will become with many Pyros running around! I just can’t wait to find out.
