After a ton of speculation and rumor mongering, Naughty Dog finally blew the lid off their third Uncharted game title - Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception - via Sony’s official PlayStation Blog. We’ll still have to wait till the Spike VGAs (Video Game Awards) for a full video reveal, but in the meantime Naughty Dog have been kind enough to share a few details with us. It's getting hot in here It turns out that Drake and his BFF Victor “Sully” Sullivan are now headed to the Arabian Desert in search of the something called “Atlantis of the Sands”. Things obviously don’t go as planned and after learning the horrible secret of the lost city, Drake is forced to “confront his deepest fears”. During his adventures he’ll also travel to certain locations around the world, the details of which are still under wraps. All the Uncharted games have been appreciated for their high production values and cutting edge visuals. Of course, Uncharted 3 will now up the ante by taking the game’s “acclaimed physics, particle and visual effects to a new level.” In addition to this the game will also support Stereoscopic 3D. Plane wrecks can't stop Drake And like Uncharted 2, both co-operative and competitive play will be back. Once again details are scarce but I really do hope that co-operative play is now extended to the entire game and not limited to a bunch of standalone missions. While you wait with bated breath for the full video reveal, check out the teaser trailer embedded below. |
