Western Digital announced the release of their third-generation Media Streamer, the WDTV Live Hub, today and revealed the price for the product would be Rs. 9999/-. The device packs a massive 1TB hard-drive for storage, and is easily the most feature-packed one yet. It plays a crazy amount of formats at nearly every popular resolution, and is compatible with almost every TV out there today. New Form Factor WD have decided to go with a new form-factor with this device, doing away with the MyBook look of the previous generations, instead going with a sleeker, slimmer look for something that’ll slot right into your home theatre cabinet. The device has a couple of USB ports for storage expansion and file transfers, an Ethernet port to connect to the internet to watch videos, and also sports UPnP/DLNA streaming capabilities to hook it up with a compatible TV or game console. The only downer is the apparent lack of inbuilt wi-fi (it needs a separate optional adapter).
