ECS launches G24 All-In-One PC series in India

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) have now entered into the All-In-One space and today, they’ve launched the new G24 All-In-One computer. After manufacturing motherboards and graphics cards, the company is now expanding their PC product line-up. We are still waiting for the pricing details from ECS, so we’ll update you on that as soon as we get it.

The new G24 series

The G24 is equipped with a larger, but thinner, elegant edge-to-edge 23.6-inch touch panel, Full HD 1080p display. Supporting HDMI-in compatibility and with a high BTO (Build-To-Order) capability, the thin mini-ITX motherboard can be interchanged with Intel H61 Express Chipset and is also compatible to support next generation processors. In order to fulfill the various needs of the consumers, the slim and modern ten-finger touch panel is all set for Windows 8 Metro UI. Moreover, the unique plug and play portable HDD module enables you to store and carry your information easily and conveniently. Two models of the G24 will be available at launch, the G24 Aura and the G24 Odin. The Aura has a more aggressive looking design with large speaker vents at the front, while the Odin model is more simplistic and is designed for basic usage.

The All-In-One PC segment hasn’t exactly taken off the way manufacturers expected it to. So far, Dell and HP have been the only two frontrunners in this segment, and it has been so for a long time and it's only recently that we see more and more PC or component manufacturers entering this segment. The idea of an All-In-One PC was to limit cable clutter and make it easy for installation. While this provides a neater looking desktop, it does limit you in terms of upgradability. Also, since all the components are squeezed into a small chassis, you’ll have to settle for laptop or notebook grade parts, which generally tend to be more expensive than the notebook counterparts.
